Problems resolving complaint against me

Hi

I posted last week about my account which was blocked by ebay, well i received an e-mail as follows -

"I reviewed our records and found that your account was suspended under
Section 8 of the eBay User Agreement. The section is entitled "Breach"
and states:

"Without limiting other remedies, we may immediately remove your item
listings, warn our community of your actions, issue a warning,
temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership
and refuse to provide our services to you if: (a) you breach this
Agreement or the documents it incorporates by reference; (b) we are
unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us; or
(c) we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal
liability for you, our users or us."

If you would like your account to be considered for reinstatement,
please fax us or send us any document listed in Group One AND any
document listed in Group Two. Remember to write your user ID on the fax
so we may identify your account."

(FYI - group 1 was proof of address and group 2 was proof that i have what i am selling)

So, of course I will send what they want, BUT............... my new problem is that 2 of the the people i sold my items to have now complained to paypal.

I go to resolve the complaint on paypal and it doesn't give me an option for a reply. Only options for full refund, part refund, or provide proof of purchase.

One customer is to withdraw the complaint and i'm awaiting a response from the other.

Can anyone advise how to respond to a complaint from paypal????

Thanks

Mac, can you remind us please what you were selling, I have a mind like a sieve!

Also, what are the two paypal disputes about, are there also two buyers complaining about non receipt receipt as well as the suspension for listing something against ebay Terms and conditions?

I can answer the paypal bit, the only way to close the dispute is as you say to prove delivery using your recorded or special delivery tracking number, or to refund for non delivery. There is no other options at all.

I was selling event tickets - i think the reason for this is that Ebay don't believe i have what i'm selling - the 2 complaints are for "not received" event though i stated on my Ad that i'll post when i receive them!! (which i haven't yet)

I don't blame them for worrying (as my account shows no longer a reg user) but i've emailed them with an update - can they withdraw the complaint??

They can withdraw their complaints but why would they? If they asked that question on this board we would probably all advise them against doing so. Imagine the question, "I have bought tickets from a seller that cost me xxx and for which I paid by paypal, the tickets are not available until after my paypal chargeback protection ends and now the seller is NARUd, what should I do?" Without a doubt we would all say, chargeback immediately.

You must see that from the buyers point of view that have a problem on their hands.

If you can't send the tickets then refund them, an offer of a refund from you will look better than paypal having to hijack your account to do a chargeback.

If the tickets are that popular you should be able to sell them again, possibly not on ebay, but what about the small ads or fan sites?

At the end of the day don't sell what you don't have.

I did something similar over Xmas and goods coming to me were a month late...it was a nightmare sorting it all out and I took a fair few negatives. You can't expect buyers to sit and do nothing against a ticking clock.
