First Utility

This company has come out as cheapest on my price comparison.

Has anyone had any experience of the company at all?

Do a forum search, loads of CS and billing issues, did very poorly in a recent Which survey-the worst of the non-Big 6 suppliers.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Oh dear, now I really don't know what to do...having just signed up with them...wonder if I should get out whilst there are 6 days of the cooling off period and stay with British Gas...but again they were only offering standing charge tariff. Perhaps NPower who I started with was best but if the comparison sites put FU first what do I know?

Anyone got any positives to say about FU?

Comp sites give you price only-not service ratings. if FU are the cheapest for you, and price is the priority, then go with it and deal with any other issues as they arise.
I assume that since you signed up by phone, you made sure that you are on the same tariff recommended by the comp sites?

  • Thanks for the replies. As the difference between FU and Scottish Power are small(£10 per year) I think I will go for Scottish Power as I have been with them in the past with no problems.
