Hi
Just a quick post to see if I am the only one who is addicted to Rightmove? haha
We arent even planning on buying until next Spring, but I've been checking Rightmove pretty much every other day now in my area for the past 6 months+
It's been really great getting an early grip of the market in my local area and an idea of what different house sizes etc. are worth, and also those that have been on the market forever and are gradually cutting their price!
Am i the only one?!

Only every other day?!
We sold, bought our ideal house, it fell through so we ended up renting. We're now waiting for the perfect house to come along to at least match what we found. We both check Rightmove every day, have email alerts set up, registered with 5 local agents, check local agents websites, and buy the local property paper weekly. Recently, I've taken to looking at past sales on Rightmove and seeing what bargains people have got and wishing we'd have got them. And that's not to mention lurking on this very forum..
None of this has helped the perfect house come along :-(0 -
My name is Contessa and I am a Rightmove Addict!
For the last couple of years, since I've been getting my house ready to sell ( almost there now!) RM has become part of my daily routine. Plus the Find a Property and Primelocation emails I get ( but I could give them up anytime I wanted!)
Sometimes I think that if I spent less time on RM and more time getting my house sorted I would have moved by now but I really do think I've got a much better view of the market where I'm moving to ( at the other end of the country) because of my time spent on RM.
And Street View [STRIKE]was my undoing[/STRIKE] is brilliant!0 -
Have you lot been stalking this?

I still have my Rightmove search delivered daily for four different locations covering about 10 counties, so I guess that makes me quite hardcore. I actually moved three years ago.
I run a search on my own postcode as a matter of routine, so I often know before others who has just put their house on the market, or in this climate, taken it off again! :rotfl:0 -
Rightmove = House p0rn
We moved into our house last week, I am feeling slightly disappointed that its moving down my list of favorites when I log on

rightmove website, rightmove app... every morning, afternoon and evening - they seem to update it several times throughout the day!
we've sold our place so are desperate to find somewhere :beer:0 -
My experience is that you don't necessarily see all properties for sale on rightmove.
I usually check zoopla.co.uk and primelocation.co.uk, as well
Hope this helps0 -
