Construct an ode that describes a Lake District holiday, imaginary or real, planned or dreamt, and win a 2-night break for two people including dinner, bed and breakfast in one of our fabulous lake view rooms. The winner will be the entry that makes us smile and/or reflect the most.

The ode may be of any type or length from 2 lines to 20: the owners of the hotel have absolute discretion in the choice of a winner. Your prize must be booked at least one month in advance, taken before 30 June 2013 and excludes bank holidays and immediately preceding Friday, Saturday and Sunday: accommodation will be subject to availability at the time of booking.

On daffodil's website their email address is daffodil.com not co.uk. I am not entering (I am no Wordsworth or Byron) so don't know if it works or not.

What a lovely little distraction this comp was! Anyone care to post their entries? No copying! Mine was:

As walking boots and sticks and tired knees
Are rambling, stumbling up the districts’ hills
You stand atop the world and you can see
