Cheap Car insurance

Hello,

It is impossible for me to get cheap car insurance :( I know it my fault but it still annoying. I am 24 and have had a driving licence for 5 years. In that time i had one speeding offensie in 2009 sp30 3 points and £60. A year later i tapped into the back of another car they set off then slammed the breaks on and i nudge them, wasn't even off my clutch so less thatn 5 mpg. With all this i can not get cheap car insurance. I drive a 1.6 8v 03 astra. I know some of you will be thinking why i don't get a small car? Well its cos i can't fit in one. I'm a big guy 6'4 and 27 stone. The chepest quote i can get with 1 ncb in £1600 but only if i pay it one shot. If I pay monthly they want £1900.

Any suggestions how i can get cheaper car insurance?

Speak to a local brokers and see if they can come up with something that is affordable. Sometimes brokers will work with underwriters that you won't find online.

Think I would be giving up a car at those costs. £1500 for Insurance, plus probably at least another £2k running costs. I have read that some analysts are predicting fuel to go up to £1.50 per litre by the end of the year.

I suppose it depends on where you live and whether the public transport is any good.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Jeremy Clarksons 6' 5" and fits in a old style mini.

Maybe a smaller car with a different seating position. Old person type of car.

When your insurance has dropped to sensible levels then you can choose the car you want.
