Recommendation sites, real recommendations (Bristol)

Hi all,
We are looking to get a new bathroom and we would like to work with someone who is recommended, rather than choosing randoms from the paper. There are so many recommend a trader internet sites now, I am worried this dilutes there value. Have you ever used, or can recommend one of these sites? Can anyone personally recommend someone who covers the Bristol area?
