Whsmith, The Sun paper and Lego toys

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on when the next one of these "weeks" is coming up. We practically missed the last one and only got the heads up from a notification in Martin's email. Luckily our WHSmith's had overs and were happy to pass them out to us.

Our son is lego obsessed, even now he is half watching Mr Men on tv and building with lego. He loves these weeks and gets very excited about them. We don't buy a regular paper so really rely on word of mouth so we don't miss it. Is there a way of finding out in advance?

It was just a thought, thanks in advance.

  • There was a thread a few weeks ago reporting that it would run from the 6th to 14th October. How accurate this is is not known! (Comments here, I love seeing MSE namechecked on other sites:o) It will appear on Grabbit, and also on the news page of Brickset.

I've never collected these before, do you have to get to whsmiths at the crack of dawn or do they still have some left at lunchtime?

It really depends - the lord of the rings one, i would be there crack of dawn.

The others dont seem that desirable tbh. Some of the poorest so far, but cant snub free lego
