Dont read if you are easily upset but....

Was browsing The Mail and came across this story. I cried :(

There are some nice people in the world only it came a little too late for this sweet little fella.

Oh poor little darling. How can anyone let an animal suffer like that?

Thank God he knew some kindness before he passed away!

Very sad. But good to know that his final moments were in the company of those who loved him. He's in a good place now. x
  • 'He had numerous infections and possibly cancer, but remained sweet and loving, even while his body wrenched in agony.
It was not long after that they realized that Ol Boy wasn't just sick, he was dying.

Rather than put him down, they took him home and let him rest in a warm, loving environment for the first time.'

    Voice of Dissent here:

He was suffering, and they decided to go all touchy-feely?

He didn't need all the cuddles and rose petals - he needed a shot of pentobarbital. There was nothing stopping them being nice to him as it happened. Except for the touchy feeliness.

(Yes, I know a third of the population is Buddhist - but that doesn't stop all Buddhists from eating meat (not all strands of Buddhism forbid the consumption of animals as part of ahimsa), never mind relieving pain and unnecessary suffering).

I'm willing to bet that the reader comments were switched off because of comments to this effect as well.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    I cried :(

It was nice of them to give him a proper burial and try to save him.
