Offers on cat food

Hi all,

I thought I'd start a thread purely based on offers for cat food. I know there's a sticky for food and other bits for your pets, but I wanted this to be purely for cats - please if anyone objects, or if I've duplicated, let me know and I'll remove.

A brief introduction, have four furry rascals of my own and am also a foster mum, currently have a mum and five 3 week old kittens, so as you can imagine, they go through a lot of food!

My own cats eat Whiskas pouches in jelly and James Well Beloved biscuits, the foster cat is on Whiskas kitten pouches and Whiskas kitten biscuits.
My findings for offers will be based purely on those, but please post any offers on cat food you may use/find too.

So, here goes:

Whiskas pouches in jelly 12 x 100g (Meat, Fishermans Choice, Poultry, Favourites, My Cat Loves) currently cheapest in Tesco's and Sainsburys at £3 per box, Asda and Pet Planet at 2 for £6.

Whiskas pouches in jelly 48 x 100g Fishermans Choice Asda at £10.
Whiskas pouches in jelly 36 + 12 free x 100g Poultry and Fishermans Choice Pets at Home £10.49.

Whiskas kitten pouches meat and fish 12 x 100g Tesco and Asda at £3, Sainsburys at 2 for £6.

Whiskas Complete kitten biscuits Tesco and Sainsburys 2kg at £4.

James Well Beloved adult biscuits, all flavours come out cheapest at Zooplus, plus they offer a considerable discount when bought in bulk. Prices as follows:

Duck and Rice, Fish and Rice, Turkey and Rice, Lamb and Rice 2kg - £11.99
Duck and Rice, Turkey and Rice, Lamb and Rice 4kg - £19.90
Fish and Rice 4kg - £20.90
Duck and Rice, Turkey and Rice, Lamb and Rice 10kg - £39.99
Fish and Rice 10kg - £40.99
Duck and Rice, Turkey and Rice, Lamb and Rice 10kg x 2 - £76.99
Fish and Rice 10kg x 2 - £77.99

Additional offers per store:

Tesco - Clubcard Exchange extended until 04/09/12 - Exchange £5 clubcard vouchers for £10 pet food vouchers (must specify instore or online).

Zooplus - 10% off first order, free delivery when spend over £19.

Petplanet - Free delivery when spend over £39.

Hope this helps and I will update as regularly as I can :)

Cheers, Emma.

Subscribing to this thread as our monster will only eat Whiskas Simply, and we always stock up when it's on offer at £3.00 a box, instead of the usual price of £4.29. Seems to be promoted by the different supermarkets in turn, and it will save trawling round to find which one has it on offer when we need it if this thread has the answer!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Did that last week stocking up on tins of Whiskas.

Asda currently have 12 tins of Whiskas on offer at £5 so Tesco price matched :)

Local Asda only has 12 packs with gravy. Tesco has the meat and fish jelly varieties but still gave a voucher for the price difference.

Asda Kirkton, Dundee had 3kg of Purina One both varieties for £5 per bag instead of £10/£12 per bag.

It's £12 online but unsure if this is a local or national offer.

I think the Iams were the same price but there was none on the shelf so unsure of bag size or type.

Sainsburys today had Felix 12x100g trays of cat food in jelly, several varieties, for £2.99 - like these (the Felix pouches were not on offer and for the same volume of food were £4.49 I think) -

  • Smilla is on for £14.99 for 24 400g tins. It's a higher quality food so you won't need to feed as much as you would if you feed the supermarket stuff. http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/canned_cat_food_pouches/smilla/smilla_saver_packs/153602
