Captcha Issues??

Options
I have been having a nightmare with a certain type of captcha yesterday and today.

The ones I am having problems with are the popular type that for example are used on the daily Glamour comps.

have tried in Safari and Firefox repeatedly to no avail.

have never had probs before, is it just me?

unfortunately I am not being able to enter quite a number as it seems many companies use this sort.

I've had the same problem with the reCAPTCHA ones - I seem to get about 10 images in a row that are either symbols, blank or just indecipherable!

Until yesterday you only needed to put in one of the words (the "slanty" one, the LH one in the example shown) but now it appears they have tightened up and require both to be entered. :(

Yes I can also confirm that I am also having problems, a lot of CAPTCHAS now are impossible to read and I agree that they are becoming a nightmare to complete :(

I find that captchas in general and those on the ITV sites in particular are innacurate and unreliable anyway. Quite often I have typo'd and hit return just as I realised and the image has gone thorugh, by contrast there are plenty of times when the image is clear and I put everything in correctly and it is rejected.

The biggest issues I have though are with some of the Future Publishing comps, T3 especially, as they won't submit for me in IE9 and others seem to only like Chrome.

Sadly we will be stuck with these until someone comes up with a better option to deter the spammers and third party bot entries

Yes, I had the same and thought it was just me. I eventually sussed the same as One-Eye that they now want you to write both words. In fact, that seems to apply even when one of the words is numbers and strange characters :( If that happens I would just refresh the captcha till you get one that you can see/type. Hoping it's a temp blip - fings crossed :)

hoorah!!! have just gone back through 6 that I couldn't do and putting both words in the captcha worked - thank you so much, I was so used to just putting the one word in it never occurred to me to try both!

I am glad I spotted this post, I thought I was going mad today when I hit a brick wall with ITV competitions. I have noticed the addition of capital letters - which are required within both words to complete the entry.

I failed many attempts, very difficult to see many of the words as it is :(
    Wishing you all good luck!
