Making mega money on Ebay

There are some sellers making mega money on Ebay by selling in volume, shoes, clothes, cosmetics. Does anyone have any idea of the sort of places they source their stock - I have looked in the Trader, but can't find anything of real interest.
Obviously, I'm not looking for your suppliers, but just an idea of where to start searching. Any help would be great, thanks.

You have to buy in huge volume to be able to sell so cheaply, it's not the sort of thing to go into on a shoestring, or with no prior knowledge of your market.
the trade fairs like the spring fair at the nec are great for finding suppliers, but you do have to be in business to deal with them.
we registered online to go to the spring fair, I have no idea whether they actually checked our business credentials, I doubt it actually.
but you do have to have business cards etc. to give to suppliers that interest you - they then send you their catalogues etc. and to open a trade account you generally need a business bank account and references from 2 other suppliers."There is a light that never goes out"0 -
It's probably quite easy to get stock at a good price from a lot of manufacturers, provided you order a very large quantity.
Apart from those who have certain minimum service requirements (such as some children's shoe manufacturers) and those trying to protect the association of their name with exclusivity, most will probably sell to anyone who want to buy enough to make it worth their while.
This means that you need to know the market well as otherwise you could end up with a very expensive pile of stock that won't sell.0 -
We are a registered business and have been for about 10 years. In the past we have mainly sold collectables, but the way Ebay is going, it is a lot of effort for little return.
We missed the Spring Fair at the NEC, and the next isn't until September, so I guess the only way is to troll through the Internet, I just need to figure out what sells

With this new *star* rating systems it's very easy to sit and look at how much some ebayers are selling things for. I have to say I was flabbergasted at one seller's sales and it was only glorified antique tat, but they had a fantastic talent at describing the items.0
