I have booked up to do my CBT tomorrow, and I am confused. I thought you did the theory test afterwards but someone says I should have done that first... now I'm worried that I have messed it all up and that I am not going to be able to do the course....

You have to do the theory test before you go for your FULL licence...................not to do the basic training

As trafalgar says, the theory test is only required before you take the practical test.
Passing the CBT will allow you to ride a motorbike up to 125cc (Max power 14.6bhp) with L plates and certain restrictions for the length of the CBT certficate (I think 2 years).
Best of luck and welcome to motorcycling!0 -

well done............... ...............oh maybe not when your driving though eh:D
I fell off more than a few times as well but it's still great and fun:j0 -
Advice is buy/use a sensible road bike to start with - a commuter one . Something like a Honda CG125...
They are easier to handle and will ease you in to motorcycling!
Also ALWAYS wear proper motorcycle gear - even on a moped! That includes the lower half of your body and proper boots and gloves... when you fall off this helps!0
