[B][/B]Brand New Business Idea - HELP!!

I am brand new to all this so please bear with me if I am in the wrong place..

I have a business idea and would like any pointers on where to go. I am currently an ebay sole trader so I know the ins and outs of being self employed etc but I do not have a clue about branding, web sites, protecting my designs etc. At the moment I sell other peoples branded clothing - BUT I am looking at doing my own brand of a particular item..

As far as I am aware the item is not available in the UK though I have seen something similar in the US.. all very secretive I know!!

So far all I have is my plans on paper..

Go and see your local enterprise people - Business Link in England, Business Gateway in Scotland (not sure about the other bits of the country). You should be able to get some good initial information from their websites or helplines, and there are also organisations such as the Prince's Trust that could help depending on your circumstances.

Also, instead of doing a business plan from scratch or a blank template, it's much easier if you can see a complete one for a similar business. See if you can get a copy of one from someone you know, or from a business advisor.
