Travel Insurance --- small print

We took out a Virgin Money policy to cover two weeks in France.
Our camera was stolen and we reported it at a police station. Our French is not brilliant and the police office had no desire to help. We were given the police stations address and phone number and told to call back tomorrow.
We did and all they said is "no camera". :mad:
We filled out the insurance claim form, provided ALL the details asked for, including the police station details and a summary of our discussion (or lack off).
Virgin kindly took all the details into consideration and said NO you wont get paid, you have not visited a police station within 24 hours and obtained a crime report. After discussing this on the phone with them and explaining that we did try......no middle ground.........NO.......so thanks Virgin Money:T you score 0/10 for customer service.
Will we use you again......NO.

Submit it in writing to them as a written complaint, and advise you will refer it to the FOS if they do not re-consider.0
