Time to get claim pack for NRP?

How long does it take for the non resident parent to receive a claim pack?

I submitted the online form last Friday and wonder how long it takes before they will receive, as that will/could have an impact how they deal with me and contact handovers.

It depends on when the CSA get round to sending one. You should give them a call and ask if they have issued a MEF yet as this is the date which sets when maintenance is due from.

If you only sent in your application form last Friday it will take about 2 weeks to get to the relevant department and then it can take up to 6 weeks to actually get in contact with your ex partner and then about 2 weeks after that we will contact you.

I rang the CSA today they said they are processing my application as a new client and should expect the NRP to receive the info pack by early next week! Thats all within 2 weeks of claiming. I think by phoning them up it helped loads as they thought my application was urgent.

just another query for a friend going thro a div. She has 2 kids and her ex has "leaving" his very well paid job on purposejust to avoid csa and get more from divorce settlement. he has done this by getting someone in his work write a letter saying "theres no more work for him". Can the csa do anything in this case? Its just this friend was very dependant on the CM as she only works part time herself.

Has she already claimed through the CSA? What can happen, is the CSA can ignore a person's alleged change of circumstances if they believe that they have deliberately done it to avoid paying maintenance. However, this would happen after a pattern emerging, such as leaving more than 1 job after they catch up with them. so, if this is the first time, then he is likely to get away with it. However, if he has not really left, then the CSA can trace via the Inland Revenue. If there is an insider at the employer's place of work, then it could be a case for the Criminal Compliance section to investigate - they can inspect their records if an offence is suspected, but there would have to be strong suspicions and not just heresay.

wel still waiting for csa to send a claim pack to the NRP. Before Easter i spoke to the guy handling my claim and he promised me NRp would have the claim pack before Easter. Rang 3 times in past 10 days - they say they still sorting it out and no definite answer why NRP has not got the claim pack. NRP is in teaching business and likely to give up job during school holidays so thats another 2 months potential CM lost.
I will try to call them again later today, but although the staff have been friendly to me, there seems little organisation to whats going on.

I rang the csa. They said new claim where I am the PWC is on hold as the old case when I was NRP (kid lived with his mum before) is not close, even though they have given me written notification of no liability for this claim.

Today they said they need to look into why new claim has not progressed but they don’t know either.

Is your other case still stuck on the old system? That could maybe hold up the new one.

You say you have confirmation that there is no liability, however are there any arrears ? As this can be the cause of this problem.

I have no further liability on my old case when i was NRP. In fact i am due a refund of around £50. They told me earlier in week that refunds take 8 weeks to process as the computer system cannot do that!
Does that mean i have to wait 8 weeks before they will issue the new case forms to the new NRP? if so that means i have missed over 3mths potential payments by then and probably more as the NRP works in the education system and will probably be on leave (if agency) during the summer hols.

Your refund is why it is stuck, well not so much stuck as needs to be actioned before it can be "migrated" to the new system. If the PWC on the case is being asked to repay the overpayment it is likely to stay there even longer.

You will need to press for your case to be sent over or closed once you have your refund.
