I buy some from Home Bargains. 2 for £1.
But another tip, I take one out, tear it in half, and put one half back in the pkt. I find using half, both sides is more than enough so your doubling the value.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
What annoys me is that they think we are stupid enough not to notice. Morrisons kept putting their salad bar stuff by 10p a time, its now £1.59 for a small one.
They realised that they couldnt keep doing this but I noticed a while ago they have made the cartons shallower so you dont get as much in. Sneaky eh.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

All these "£1 offers" are all a con. Items that used to cost less but trying to make out that "£1" is nothing.0

No, they know we will notice, but they also know that most people ARE stupid enough to keep buying.
It's down to two things, greed and lack of time.
People are greedy, they don't need it/can live without it, but they want it. They know it has gone up X% since last time, but they want it so will pay the extra just to have it.
Time, they may think the item may be a little cheaper in another supermarket, but when you have done a months shopping in one store it is not worth going to another just to save a few pence on one item.0 -
I hardly shop in the main supermarkets mostly due to reduced income. I did notice when one supermarket was charging over 2.00 for Pringles and they justified it with a BOGOF. It was then that I noticed how ridiculous some of the prices were becoming and I will now only buy a product if it is value for money.
However, eventually everything will become smaller, higher in price but some items will be necessary. Oh well Keep Calm and shop on!!All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0 -
I noticed the price hike of the creme caramel a few weeks ago, I used to think of that as a cheap treat for the children, I was shocked at how much it had jumped up in price.
I was doing an order earlier today for a Tesco delivery tomorrow and I was just about to add a pack of corned beef to my basket when I realised it was £2, I am certain it was only £1 recently, I might be wrong but I don't think it was on offer when I had bought it for £1.
Tesco value tortilla was about 17p for a packet, now, and has been for while, 46p
In the past I would place an order with a lot of items from my favourites but I am finding more and more that the items I usually buy have shot up in price and it's taking me longer now to look for bargains.0 -
if you want to boycott some thing with a massive price rise, go for petrol.0
