WOW, you must be the only Vanquis customer on that rate, better rate then any subprime card. Quite shocked actually.

Actually, you may be right, I just checked out the website.
There are 7 tiers they offer, A - G

You are on tier B = 29.84%

This is on purchases, doesn't state the overall APR.

Typical rate people get with Vanquis is Tier D = 39.94%

Thats where i been getting confused.

You must have a good rating in their eyes to be on that tier.

Thanks for that, it was very helpful.

When I applied my credit rating was 891. I applied for a cc with my bank initially and they said that if it wasn't for my 3 defaults (which were 4 years ago now), they'd offer me their best credit card and a £20,000 loan!! Jeepers!

I have applied and been approved for a vanquish card with a limit of 29.9% and £1000 credit limit. I applied through here http://www.aquis.vanquis.co.uk
