Are you sure bigger alloys haven't been fitted? Its almost a standard mod with these little things. Failing that the torsion bars are damaged or have been mucked about with, or more likely the axle bearings are knackered.0

That is a strange problem. A mechanic must know however but. Why don't You show it in company service center? Hope Your problem gets solved.0

Erm, yes . . . what he said ^0 -
Because i dunno this site very well. thanks all for the help. i had the wheels off to replace the brake pads and there were no spacers fitter.
What are the axle bearings? Does anyone the average cost of repair for the torsion bar and/or axle bearing?
Thanks all for your help.0 -
Before considering repairing the torsion bar or bearings you need to define the fault. When this suspension wears, normally the top of the wheels rub on the inside, not the outside. If you look at the car from behind are the wheels parallel or do the taper in from the top or bottom?.
Wheel rims also have different offset. You may have the correct tyres on the wrong rims. How large is the gap between the inside of the tyre and the bodywork?0 -
Checkes againsg other 106,s today and gap is the same... im really confused :-( i dont think they are rubbing on the inside as there is no wear on the tyres. the tyres have a little wear on the outside from the rubbing when i has passengers.0

they dont have springs on the rear, they have a damper wich can wear out, but more likely your torsion bar has had it.0
