So why not just sell to the second buyer.....you don't owe the other person any favours and they can't neg you.....as you say thay had 5 days to buy it.....
Don't risk the neg feedback and sell to the rightful winner....I say.
Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D
  • Yes they an neg me as they have purchased 2 separate auction, they missed this one and asked for it to be available again and added to existing purchases, hence the enhanced postage terms, the BIN and the private listing.
    No more buying toiletries

Is it an option to try to get an identical item from somewhere and list it again in one of the ways suggested above to ensure that the first buyer gets it.

You have to sell the item to the second buyer and just put up with the loss of the postage money there.

That way you might not receive negatives from anyone.

you should have just relisted at a silly high price with a best offer feature - and told the buyer you will accept the offer at the agreed price. No-one else would have bought it then

The OP would have been liable for hefty fees at that point.

Not true - buy it now is 40p no matter what the price - and the final value fees would be based on the selling price - ie the accepted offer price.

True - with a best offer feature it could have worked - missed that part.
