i had coupons beeped and i had spent 72 on clothes, i think some of the bits are classed as seasonal, i had swim stuff, glasses and sun hats, it was those that did it, all the rest was adult trousers which i knew worked. Also ski-wear doesn't work with any vouchers
coupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there

all i bought though were adult clothes (plus undies)£46 and some sale kids stuff £22 - i know the kids stuff worked as it accepted the £4 blue for those and i know i spent over the right total as it also accepted the £10 off £50 spend - strange!

It's odd isn't it, how we sometimes get different results?

I have bought sunglasses, sun hats, swim stuff and a couple of pairs of ski socks as part of my clothing shops, and my vouchers have worked as expected (I have blue, red, green and yellow).

I find that all coupons beeping is usually down to the SA not pressing the Total button. It can also happen if you add an item as an afterthought during the coupon-scanning, and the SA then doesn't Total it again before continuing to scan coupons. Very frustrating when it happens, but try asking if your bill has been totalled (as you've had this happen once before, etc, etc, smile sweetly, etc).

Hiya Coupon-mad - will PM you tomorrow.

In one store today I had the following happen:

1st transaction - I handed over clothing, toiletry and healthcare vouchers plus others - all accepted by friendly SA

2nd transaction - same friendly SA - she swipes them, oh she says they aren't scanning they must be out of date/you haven't bought the items, I smiled and pointed out that this batch of vouchers was identical to transaction one which had gone through fine.

I ask her to check if she has totalled my bill, she presses a button, the multi-saves come off and then she is able to scan all my vouchers just as she did in transaction one.

It has also happened to me before when newbie SAs are on the tills and they do not know they have to press a button.

I bought sunglasses today, baseball caps, womens clothing, mens socks and all my eventually went through as expected even the £4 off a £20 kids spend.

lol mine was obviously totalled though as some went through and some didnt, surely if they hadnt totalled it (which ive had happen before and had ammended) none of them would have gone through. Think i just hit either unlucky or this certain store is only set up to accept one of each voucher

There is another theory that no two coupons the same will scan one after the other and that you have to have them mixed up. I myself think the tills just differ from store to store and are not all set up the same across the country.

I love reading about everyone's experiences though :D , can't wait to have another go myself soon with the clothing ones!

tried using 2x quit vouchers, 2 x yellows and 2 x active and one of each were refused - he even tried scanning them again a few times and each time it just beeped!

I had a similar problem - did 2 shops in 2 stores, one for £60 childrens clothing, using 1 x£10, 3 x£4, 2 x active £6 & 2x yellow ( thank you leadhead!) - till beeped on 2nd yellow, and the £10 - sa called the supervisor, who told him to put the 10 through manually, but said I couldn't have the 2nd yellow - I didn't object as he'd already taken 2 DM and various others including wholefoods.
Then in my second shop i bought £35 womens & £25.50 childrens, using a blue set, 2 yellows and 2 actives ( & various others) and again the till wouldn't let me have the second yellow, he tried again at the end of putting all the others through, but still no luck.
Not sure whether tills set not to take 2? Very strange!

Ive posted on the other thread about this, after my £10 blue scanned, nothing else would........eventually they all did(30 of them)(including 2 blues, 2 quits, 2 yellows and 2 active).......Ive read somewhere about a time slot between coupon acceptance by the tills, but have never seen any constant evidence to back this up.

I cant offer any advice on the above problems, as youve all used either kids clothes, or kids coupons, neither of which i have experience of.

Always hand the £10 blue in first
