Sabotaging my own fuel-Legal?
Comments
-
Am I the only one who thinks it's not a good idea?
Fair enough, you will probably end up wrecking the thieves chainsaws, cars etc, but if they aren't too worried about breaking into a shed and nicking the petrol in the first place, I doubt if they will be too worried about returning the sabotaged fuel and maybe using it on your garage, shed or even your house.
Do you really want a group of travellers deciding to make your life a misery, especially when it might be hard to get any action from the police.0 -
Would they know it's your petrol that !!!!!!ed up their vehicle? My thought would be they'd think their car was stuffed which caused it to take off vertically.0

This is a hilarious idea. There's no way they'd know you'd sabotaged the fuel.0

thought exactly the same when I read the first postshaun_from_Africa wrote: »Am I the only one who thinks it's not a good idea?

The RAF guys use to use it in Germany to give their cars a bit more poke (highly illegal). It's like adding ethanol. Good for short periods but use too much or use it for too long and it wrecks engines not designed for it due to the extra heat producedJust googled and I love the avpin stuff! Not sure where I can get it though and whether it'd blow someone's head off!
Of course I'll update you all but it's likely to be a post in six months time telling you that I have just managed to blow my own rotovator up with some sugared petrol, such is my memory these days! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. More to the point, won't the scrotes just steal more chainsaws etc.?
If you played with sugar and the likes though, I would look for things that are soluble in petrol, maybe some kind of adhesive which would not do an engine any favours certainly if you can get a contaminant that didn't give the game away by looking or smelling too different!
Or for just bad petrol, a bit of ethanol is hygroscopic - whilst in itself it'll make for a nice burn it also means you can get water dissolved into the fuel. Won't do lasting damage though, just splutter and irritate0 -

Speaking from experience they will have nicked it from several places , so doubt they would know where it came from
At one time the police added dye to our fuel ( we have a tank of it ) so they could test suspect vehicles , but nothing became of it
My preferred method would be wiring the vehicles up to the mains, but apparently thats frowned upon .
Travellers already make our lives a misery , they damage the vehicles to get at the fuel , thereby putting the vehicle off the road until fixed , and have nicked out of a locked compound over a period of time a horse trailer , another trailer , one horse box , and 4 lorriesVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0
