I currently have my name solely on the title deeds to my property.
I was thinking of adding my mother's name and ultimately removing mine in due course as I may be moving abroad regarding work.
Would stamp duty be payable?

Quite possibly. An article here gives some examples:

Given the amounts involved, proper advice would probably be worth it.0 -
Normally house transfers are done the other way around in order to avoid inheritance tax.
Does the ownership of the property ultimately matter? Why can you not continue to own it while moving overseas?0 -
