Scottish Power PrePayment Meter Arrears
Good evening,
I need some advice please if anyone can offer?
I have arrears on my Scottish Power prepayment meter of £280. There is an arrangement in place of £5 per week which is deducted when I credit the meter. My partner has now lost her job and after re-jigging our finances we now struggle to pay our basic bills. I have asked Scottish Power to consider a reduction from £5 per week to £1 per week on a temporary basis till we get back on our feet. However they emailed back stating the minimum amount they can set the meter to recover the debt is £3.55 as set by the DSS (who are they?).
Does anyone know if they can reduce further or are they playing hard ball?

Its the lowest they can do on recovery, dss is fuel direct deductionsDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
