Roof repairs with no rear access?

How doable is this likely to be?! I have a terraced house with no rear access which really needs roofing work (either repairs or complete replacement!)

I am having trouble finding a roofer anyway, but especially when I mention the access issues. Any ladders/scaffodl etc would need to either be positioned at the front of the house, or come through the house (with several tight turns). Is this likely to be possible!?

I have had new lead flashings added to my roof. The roofer used ladders which went over the roof. He also used extending ladders from the back. Mine is a smallish terraced house with awkward corners. Send me a private MSE email with your email address and i can send you a couple of photos of my roofer at work so you can see what I mean.
  • Did the roofer not need to use scaffolding at all then?

Yes he did but not a huge amount. I have sent you some photos.

My whole roof was re-tiled with scaffolding only put up at the front elevation.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • Thanks. Had a guy come round today who seemed pretty adamant that to do the repairs, he would need to scaffold at the rear rather than the front. Did yours just use a Cat ladder to access the rear then Errata?
