Bramble Jelly/Jam

I wonder if someone could advise me regarding homemade bramble jam.
I have been picking wild blackberries, and seem to remember when I tried to make jam with them a few years ago, there were so many pips in the jam that it was inedible.
I've decided to make bramble jelly this time, but I do like to have some pieces of fruit in my jam and wondered if I could add some blackberries to the jelly once strained.
Many thanks

Hmmm not sure. the jelly when strained should be all clear and pretty. I think it would ruin the appearance to add chunks of something else but maybe thats just me:o

we have a very small thread which may help . Why not make blackberry jelly separately?

ill add this to jam/preserves quick qs later

Pink can you help me find thriftladys hedgerow jelly recipe?

    Zip :)

I have a sieve gadget I bought for my Kenwood chef which sieves out the pips its really great for making seedless raspberry jam and last year I tried seedless blackberry jam rather than bramble jelly and it worked really well.

I used a metal sieve and the back of a tablespoon before getting this its a bit more hard work but gets the same results.

Its a marguerite patten recipe I think will dig it out in a mo have to clean the dogs ears :D

    2lb blackberries
    2lb sugar
    2 tablespoons lemon juice

    wash fruit and drain well.
simmer fruit until soft, rub through a sieve then measure the pulp.
to each 600ml/1 pint puree allow 450g/1lb sugar and 1 tblspn lemon juice.
Reheat the puree stir in sugar and boil til setting point.
