Love the Baileys lomaxsylvia but unfortunately I'm on the wagon and have been for the last 2 weeks

Alice doesn't really like me drinking now so I have promised to give it up for her as she can sense when I'm inebriated and gets very agitated

I think that tonight,s going to be a long night, you would think that I would be able to sleep now that Alice is home, but I'm wide awake and don't feel a bit tired

so I'll grab myself a cup of coffee and try and find a few comps to post up before the night scarers come in - err I mean night carers

Make sure you grab some sleep yourself Amilucky! You need your strength for Alice as well as yourself (or your lovely Alice will be worried about you!)
With regards to warfarin, my brother has also been on this for most of his life and his was stopped while he had a stint in hospital. When he asked about it he had been given something else too to help his kidney function properly (he has had a transplant) but he had to come off the warfarin for a while due to side effects. Maybe the hospital had given Alice heparin injections instead? Hope you manage to get it sorted anyway, and get some kip!

HELP!!! I have the day off work cos the Sky Man is coming, I just moved the TV cabinet out so he can get to the connection box and THERE IS A SNAIL LIVING BEHIND MY TELLY!! :eek::eek::eek: it's stuck to my skirting board :eek::eek: I'm scared of snails! Not of much as I'm scared of slugs but still a lot! Help!! :eek::eek:

Sorry couldn't help it. We have slugs that climb all over our house and sometimes the windows but haven't had any inside yet!

The sun is shining this morning which makes a change! Hopefully get some washing dry. Going to take a picnic and go for a walk before we stock up our depleted cupboards and freezer.

we get snails in our house - they come in through the cat flap - not that we have cats anymore - thanks to our next-door neighbour - the !!!!!. But that's another story.

went to the doctor's yesterday - have to up my blood pressure meds again -so that means another blood test next week. I'm surprised I have any blood left!!.

On the plus side I've submitted a blog piece to a well known children's retailer so am waiting to see if it is acceptable.

Had my yellow pages yesterday - it's tiny & really thin - anyone else remember the big unwieldy things they used to be - no wonder they made a load of staff redundant (including me) they were great to work for
