Advice needed for Magaluf Holiday

I'm sure these questions have been asked a hundred times before and there must be loads of info on the site somewhere but I can't find it.
My 20yr old daughter is going to Magaluf mid-september [Full board] for a week and I would like to know the following please
1. Should she take Euros and/or Travellers cheques and how much and in what proportion . Are travellers cheques readily able to be spent. What denominations do you buy them in.
2. She has already got a Halifax Clarity CC in readiness. Is it preferable to use that or cash or travellers cheques or a Nat west Debit card she has from her bank account.
Thanks

Use Halifax card but given the nature of the place I would advise keeping in a safe and drawing out cash as needs be. Realise she will have the on-cost of cash withdrawal on a CC but best IMO to have a limited loss - if any loss occurs. Inform Halifax before she goes away so they are aware of transactions in Mallorca. Wouldn't bother with travellers cheques. Make sure she (or probably a friend) has a back up card ~ just in case. How much to take depends upon what she/they intend to 'get up to'!0

The Clarity should be the cheapest to withdraw cash even if she's on the highest interest rate (even cheaper if she pays in full when she get back home). She should be able to get some 'starter' euros at Palma airport - little and often is better than carrying heaps around.
Natwest debit is one of the 'Cards from Hell' http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-travel-money#howgood so emergencies only.0 -
Don't take travellers cheques they are more trouble than they are worth now.0
