Card Blocks with Vanquis

I've only had my Vanquis card for a week and it's already had two security blocks placed on it that I had to call to get removed. I've not been trying to use it in any dodgy places, just Amazon mostly.

Is this normal for a newly issued card?

    Yeah I called to activate.

    No idea why it keeps getting blocked

    An unactivated card won't work at all, as it isn't attached to an account yet. Unfortunately OP will need to talk to Vanquis about it, I've had problems with HSBC's over sensitive fraud systems except they cancel my card and send me a new one.
