How to obtain old Barclaycard statements (older than 6 years)

I used to have a couple of Barclaycards pre-2004 that I used to pay PPI on. I want to obtain the credit card statements for these accounts to see exactly how much I could reclaim.
However Barclaycard apparently only keep historical statements for 6 years.
I have the account numbers and I know the dates that I opened and settled the accounts. Is there any way I can obtain the statements or any other information that would show how much PPI that I paid on these 2 credit card accounts?

They sent me photocopies of statements last year going back further than 6 years so they must keep those records somewhere. Try again but don't ask just for statements, ask for all your details held on their records etc. See here:
