KGB Discounts - BEWARE

Options
Having just had my first (and now only) experience of buying a service supposedly heavily discounted by KGB Deals I should warn anyone considering the same that they are trying to evade their legal obligations. I purchased a cosmetic procedure supposedly at an 88% discount but when I went to the service provider the price list in their reception had published prices that were effectively not much more than I had to pay through KGB. There were other issues too with regard to the actual service and the misrepresentation by both KGB and the service provider. KGB are saying that it is entirely down to the service provider and are claiming no liability which is legally not true. Having been in communication with them over the last 2 weeks about recompense it is obvious that the only way I'll be able to enforce my legal rights will be through the small claims court. I will be recommending to everyone I know not to use them or, at least, do so in the knowledge that you could get stiffed. A complete contrast to Groupon who provided me with a quick refund when the service provider went out of business.

Comments

  • I had the exact opposite experience to you! Groupon refused me a refund; do you know they are under the scrutiny of the Office of Fair Trading for various dubious trading practices, especially refusing refunds? KGB are not under scrutiny by the OFT, as far as I know. They have always refunded me, usually without argument. They are responsible because your contract is with them, not the merchant, and they obviously accept this as they have refunded me several times. It is nearly always the merchants who are at fault, rather than KGB.

Why does everyone with a beef about this outfit have to start a new thread about it? What's wrong with this one -
