It's the Show for our town's allotments this weekend and I'm entering in 6 classes:

- 3 Beetroot - DH will be mainly eating reject beetroot next week ;)
- 3 distinct types of culinary herbs - need to choose between bay, mint, sage, lemon balm, rosemary & thyme
- Victoria sponge made with 3 eggs
- 6 Biscuits - can't decide whether they shall be Twinks (from Old Style;)) or ginger fairings (a syrupy ginger biscuit)
- pot of Chutney or Relish - lots of choice in the cupboard of doom under the stairs, but most likely will be chilli jelly
- Gingerbread made to recipe provided - hopefully the show cake will behave as the test one did and won't sink!

Anyone else showing anything this year?

Our show was last week and I did rather well. First place in container plant, pot plant, and fruit pie (rhubarb and ginger). Also 4 thirds. Well chuffed as this was my first show and have only had my lottie since March this year. Heard I had been put forward as Best Newbie too.

Well done! How did you exhibit yuour herbs? and did you label them?
You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow

No labels, the organisers had put a stack of plastic pint pots out, so I stuck them each into one of those ;)
