Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I bought an Ipad2 32gb 6 months ago and have only just realised that what they actually gave me is a 16gb as I have run out of storage space.

Have I any chance of getting the Ipad2 32gb that I originally paid for?

I am going home at lunch to check if I have the receipt, which I'm 90% certain I have. I also paid for it on my argos card so they will have history of the purchase.

Is there any sort of code on the receipt that will match to the Ipad2 I have being given by them?

I will be calling Argos as soon as I can but wondered if anyone had any advice?

Many Thanks

  • £399 gets you the 16gb version from Argos. Have a look.
  • You obvious covered by the sale of good act as they have not given you what you purchased. Though it has been six months and they may say we did give you a 32GB version and you need to prove that which may be difficult given the time scale

Sales of goods would normally protect you but it may be difficult to prove I don't know if their system tags an item?

Similar thing happened to me two weeks ago. i bought two computers for the office from Curry's. When I got home they had given me the wrong ones. ( funny how it is always the cheaper ones will less memory and functions ). I was lucky and noticed as soon I as opened the box.

In fairness Curry's where very good and we went back straight away and they exchanged them. Really not sure how you are going to prove that they gave you the wrong one after so long?

I would call their customer services and see what they say.

  • The receipt you originally said you had for £399 should have an Argos 7 digit product code, 890/4218 for example. What is the code?

Looksguywalker; I will check that code digit when I am back home.

The argos website has the Ipad2 32gb at £399.00 at the minute, which I am sure is what it was when I bought it. I could be wrong.

I have emailed argos and will wait for a reply.

    Thanks everyone
