Are there any laws on how much of your windscreen you need to see out of?

for me the only place to have it is right at the bottom drivers side of the screen
I can easly see it without it being in the way
When I used to have a Tomtom with the long charger cable it would go bottom right as it's out the way.
now i use my phone the cable i use to charge it in the car isnt very long so i have it at the bottom middle of the screen.
I saw this a while ago in a service station http://www.amazon.co.uk/TETRAX-XWAY-XCASE-BUNDLE-iPHONE/dp/B004X00EOK/ref=wl_it_dp_v_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=MGN16UTU11G1&coliid=I2V4R9ZVMEJWHA and decided if my screen mount broke for my phone, i would get one of these, as it fits to the air vent, therefore my phone when navigating wouldnt be on my screen, and wouldnt have a nice big "I USE SOME SORT OF SAT NAV" sucker mark on my windscreen.
I am saving at the moment to change my car, and top of my shopping list is built in sat nav, so i will not need to use my phone as a nav, except in some kind of emergency...0 -

I'm not so sure on that, if he turns his head to the left slight, he's only gonna see tablet.
If im driving, shut my left eye, move my head left, i can still see the entire front of my car...0 -
As sat nat screens get bigger and people use large phones and tablets it wont be long before they start to pull people up for this issue.
My MOT guy removed my xmas tree air freshner hanging from the mirror.
Imagine his with a 7" tablet stuck to the screen. I think he would write FAIL in big red letters and not even bother testing it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

He'd be wasting his time, windscreen is one of the "free retest" things so all you'd have to do is remove the sat nav and present the car for the free retest0 -
