Quotes for removal of finlock guttering

I am currently in the process of gaining quotes for removal of finlock guttering and have received a couple that are higher than I would have hoped for.
Are these prices set in stone (dreadful pun!) or does anyone know if they can be knocked down without the companies cutting corners to compensate for the lower price? If so what should I be able to get a £3k quote down to?
Thanks.
