DLA for son with ASD?

Get someone from the National Autistic Society (NAS) to help with your claim or see if there's a local Autism support group where you'll usually find someone who can help. Also please join the NAS forums as there's a wealth of advice. There is a lot of help out there and you should have been receiving it for years.
I know what you mean about your son being incapable of walking home on his own. My son is autistic and although he looks both ways to cross the road, he would just walk out in front of a car because even though he knows what he's looking for, he can't associate a car with getting run over and he's not stupid, he constantly goes on about the pedestrian skills course he did at school, it is just the way his brain works.0 -
My son is the other way - his pedestrian course sent him loopy and he'll stand at the side of the road screaming because cars are dangerous.
There are a few Facebook groups for parents of children with autism and aspergers. A few ladies on them help others with claim forms.0
