In an ideal world, they would re-sell them on the website up to the last minute. I think they have just been overwhelmed though for what is a once in a lifetime unprecedented event.

I think they could set up a ticket office. Not at the olympic park for safety reasons, but somewhere in central london. Open it say 8am this saturday, and see how it went. Allow people to bring tickets in up to midday and from then sell them first come first served.

The original plan was to do this as they wanted to see people camping outside the park trying to get 100m tickets, but LOCOQ changed its mind i think on health and safety grounds.

Thanks, this seems like a good idea, I have done that, and will see if anything comes of it

redpete - other events would not be a problem to sell on ebay though - these tickets would be pulled immediately.

Exactly. The system they have in place is rubbish to say the least, and they are so strict on reselling any other way than through their website. No wonder people have been complaining about it.

Well done you on being a performer! What an amazing experience!

Thanks, it sure is a lot of fun, so glad I'm getting involved! If you or anyone you know is still coming along they are in for a treat, it is completely different from Danny Boyle's show but equally special.

I hope you manage to find a buyer (maybe me if I scrape some funds together lol) and don't end up out of pocket.

I've been a big cheerleader for the Olympics and Paralympics but the whole ticket process has been a bit of a shambles.
