No website but I hereby present to you:

Energy online = 14.39
D/D Discount = 14.70 (monthly)
D/D Discount = 14.93 (Quarterly)
Keypad = 14.93
AIRTRICITY from 1st October
Standard Tarriff = 15.31
Keypad = 14.31
BUDGET from 5th October
Bill Pay = 13.965

All above tariffs inclusive of VAT
And the winner is...................Budget! :T0 -

For new customers, if you can wade through Airtricity's current plans linked to above, they appear to be cheaper than Budget from October if you sign up to a 12 or 24 month contract and use direct debit and ebilling.
For example 'Home Electricity Saver - Standard Meter' is 13.47p for 12 months; on a 2 year contract it's 13.17p (year 1) and 14.08p (year 2). Of course, after this period you switch to the standard tariff (which will be 14.40p with DD and ebilling on the 'Smart Saver' tariff).0 -
Mmmmmm....Power Ni may have reduced their tariff from 1st October, but if you receive your Bill quarterly, as we do, then this quarter, in our case 3/9 to 5/12, has still been charged at the higher rate. Realise this is because they have no way of splitting usage from 3/9 to 30/9 then 1/10 to 5/12, but still frustrating nonetheless, especially when their own website states Price cut applies to electricity units used from 1st Oct 2012 which isn't strictly true. Only those who are due their next quarterly bill at start of January, ie that had a quarter start date of 1st October, will gain the full benefit of the reduced rate from 1st October.butterfly )i(0

:mad: They could at least work it out on an average number of units per day but they never do / did.
The fairest thing would be to announce a price rise a week or so ahead and give customers the opportunity to submit a meter reading on the day of the increase but then they would lose the money they currently overcharge them.0 -

Have they not worked out an average daily use from the number of units used over the quarter and charged for the number of days pre 1st October at higher rate and number of days used since 1st Oct at lower rate. I think I have seen that on my previous bills. But if they don't then you will be better off next time they put the price up as they will have to charge at the lower rate for the whole quarter next time they put it up.John0
