MoreThan customers: Be aware!

Somebody hit my car, MoreThan advised me to hire a car but I ended up paying nearly £1000.
Now, I am in debt and I don't know how I am going to pay my bills.
I feel that MoreThan let me down when the accident wasn't my fault.
Sometimes I wonder what would happen if the accident was my fault.
Did you have a similar problem with MoreThan?
Did they let you down?
Please share with us your experience.

If you didnt pay any extra premium for your hire car, why would you expect them to pay for it?
  • Have you got legal protection with your insurance policy? A lorry hit my parked car back in 2000 and it was a write off. So I had to hire a car while my settlement came through, which I had to pay for myself (on my credit card). Anyway this was classed as uninsured losses or something all those lines, this is where my legal protection kicked in and they recovered the hire car costs for me. So although I was out of pocket for awhile, I did eventually get my costs back.

Its worth you looking it to this.

More than are generally regarded as a higher quality insurance company. Any company will always get people that dont like them and maybe some have good reason. Very often its because they didnt take out an option or didnt understand what the insurance will do.

More Than, even under their other name of Royal & Sun Alliance, should not be disregarded on the basis of anything read on those posts.

Back to this thread, was the car a write off? Why havent you passed the costs and your excess onto your legal expenses solicitor and got your money back?
