0% offer no fee from LTSB

I was offered this deal yesterday when I was about to close my account. I asked if they had any BT offers. I was asked if I was aware of any other deals around so that they could offer the best available. This was a hint that I had to do this to enable the rep to give me a good rate. I played along and quoted the Ulster bank zero % with no BT fee and was asked for how long this deal was. Me, "6 months". Them "OK we can offer the same". I could have transferred the whole amount I have outstanding but had already set up a BT to a new card (Ulster Bank) so only needed to BT £1k.

Is this the start of another turf war for customers? I do hope so.

    Thanks Tom.

I have posted here as well as there in case other people who might be interested didn't spot it hidden in the other thread.
