dual house insurance for 3 years

I have recently found out that I have been insuring my house and contents with 2 companies (Argos and Nationwide) for 3years 7 months. I have phoned both insurance companies who told me that they would each refund me 50% of my payments. I have not blamed either company for the mistake and they havent asked me why it occurred. (It may have been my fault in not cancelling the original Nationwide one). They each said that they would need the schedules as proof and that they would send me their schedules and a Dual Insurance questionnaire that needed to be completed by the othe rinsurance company. All well and good. However I have so far only received one 12 month schedule and a form from the Nationwide and absolutely nothing from Argos. It looks like this may be a long drawn out process so I am keeping detailed records of every communication.
Is there any way I can make them "sit up and listen" and send me what I need as its going to get very frustrating? Are these cases usually awkward to get completed?
