Haven't had car insurance for 2years & 1 month

Hi,

I haven't owned a car and had insurance since July 2012. Before this date I earned 5 years no claims discount which, if possible, I would like to use on insurance for my new car.

I have spoken to a number of companies, most will accept NCD up to 2 years old but have only found 1 ,Quotea, which accepts evidence of NCD up to three years old.

Does anyone know of any other companies?

think there are a couple that take up to three years, co-op and direct line have been mentioned in previous threads.

If they are ridiculously expensive compared to everyone else you could take out a policy with one of them and then cancel it almost immediately which should generate a new current NCB letter you can then use with a cheaper company.

Local brokers & you previous insurer might be worth a try too
