OFT makes 'putting it on hold' announcement

I am the first to admit that I am a bit on the thick side, but is it good news or bad news the decision OFT made for all of us who are still at the first hurdle and are waiting for their six years of statements.

So, and I have no objection to the genuine having their charges reduced but certainly not to nothing, it is becoming a charter for the !!!!ess and reckless to do their own rip off act/ Lord help us. Let's hope some of those merchants get well and truly stuffed by being somehow completely black listed by the banks!
What a useful post - NOT.
Thanks for another useless rant.

UNDERGROUND
IMO anyone who does is either stupid or a rogue.
Whether any one listens, thinks I am ranting or not, I do not care one jot.
Have nice day nonetheless:beer:0 -
Oh Im So Pleased..
That Means Now If I Get Crap Offer I Can Wait Until I Can Afford Court & Not Have To Worry ABout Not Gettin All My Charges Back xx0 -
So ONLY YOU are allowed a POV. The more I read the more I get the impression that certain people want to take us all for a ride. They really want to paY absolutely nothing for their own ineptitudes. Ok, the banks are deemed to have done wrong with the level of their charges and the amounts the can charge may be subject to discussion, but get this in your head. Just as one would not work for nothing, one should not expect the banks to to either.

I'm not saying that only I have a point of view, but I don't impress it on to people who are visiting the forum to get help and support with their claims and to find useful information.
I find that some of your posts are not useful in the respect that they seem to rant about your - obviously very strong - opinions.
Most people have a point of view, whether or not that opinion is positioned in the correct threads on the forum and whether they are of any use to other forum users is another matter.
Have a nice day yourself
Regards

Hi Martin
Now I know why I have been getting letters from Abbey saying that they are investigating my claim. They asked for 4 weeks to do this in and this morning I have received a letter saying that it will take them another 4 weeks. Is it time for me to issue a court letter or should I wait?0 -
The Office of Futile Twits
To all banks
As I’m sure you are aware, the Office of Futile Twits announced on March 29 that our Initial review into current account charges has led us to believe that an in-depth and lengthy examination should be undertaken of the entire UK retail banking market. This is because we simply haven’t got the balls to stand up to your good selves, the banking industry.
To that end, to help us string this investigation out long enough so that consumers will hopefully forget we started it in the first place, it would be appreciated if you could take as much time as you possibly could to respond to any of our enquiries.
So could we settle on a deadline of say, November 2038 ? As by this time I would have received my knighthood and retired to Florida with a very agreeable pension.
During the course of this study it would be helpful to us if you could possibly see your way clear to somehow act in a manner that would give the impression that you are in fact co-operating fully with the inquiry.
It may be necessary at some point during the course of our investigation to ask the banking Industry to answer some impertinent questions such as ‘’would you chaps mind awfully telling us how much penalty charges cost you to administer?’’ and ‘’forgive me for appearing so dreadfully nosey but may we just have a very quick little glimpse at your internal accounts
Please?
But please rest assured that any information that you do want to give us will form the entire basis on which our conclusions will be made.
Finally, if this report actually comes to a conclusion, it will be incumbent upon me to recommend reducing the current default charges from £30 to £150.
I hope this meets with your approval.
Yours
Little Jonny Fingypoops
