Hi there, just wondered if any of you know how I stand with trying to claim ppi from a company that does not trade anymore.....the brokers were called 'Black & White Mortgage Company'.
It looks like they took a payment up front for Mortgage protection.
The mortgage i was supplied with was through Abbey National, but they say theres nothing on thier records ?
Thanks

They wouldnt know as they wouldnt be told.
Did you buy the insurance before or after 2005? If before, then it is game over. If after, then you complain via the FSCS. However, do not be confident of success. Recent figures show the FSCS only upheld 5% of complaints against brokers. Although single premium is generally viewed as bad on MPPI (and my estimate would be that only around 5% paid single premium so that may reflect the figure)I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
