  • Better of replacing the hose. There are a lot of replacement shower hose you buy online... Most shower hose come with a standard 1/2Inch connections, its matter of unscrewing your moldy one and screwing on a new one.

Mix bicarbonate of soda with bleach to form a thick paste. Spread it on the hose, working it into the grooves. Leave for a couple of hours and rinse off. It should just fall off but might be helped along with an old toothbrush or nail brush.

Works on grout too - but might need more than one go.

Mine's never quite built up to that state - although I procrastinate over cleaning the bathroom for long enough that I'm surprised it doesn't!

It just scrubs off. I don't use anything more than a spray of whatever I'm cleaning the bathroom with and the cloth. Don't *need* fancy cleaners or bristles or anything but they would probably speed things up a bit. Bit I find takes longest is separating the "rings" that make the hose flexible. Need to work it up and down a couple of times to make sure you've got into all the nooks and crannies...
