  • I used to be a huge liz earle fan but found it was getting a bit pricey.

These days I use superdrug vitamin e hot cloth cleanser (and moisturiser etc). Its £5.99 for 200ml which comes with a muslin cloth. At the moment its on offer at 2 for £3.99 - I have bought 4!

I have been using it for a few months now and I can honestly say I find it better than the liz earle one which I did love at the time. Its definitely worth a try. Even if money was no object I wouldnt swap back now.

p.s. i have a combination skin - oily nose/chin and fairly dry cheeks.

I'm a Liz Earle girl myself and love all her products.

    Another vote for Liz Earle.
:D Make a list of important things to do today. At the top, put 'eat chocolate'. Now, you'll get at least one thing done today. :D
  • Balance me radiance facial oil - have a look on their website, it's a British company, good ethics and products free of parabens, petro chemicals etc etc. I find it a great moisturiser day and night, and it really calms and balances my skin
  • My skin sounds exactly like yours and the only thing that has even 'balanced' it is Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate and I notice they do samples of this on ebay for 99p so it might be worth trying it out.

I use it at night. Its completely natural and it really does work for sensitive/dry/oily/spot prone skin.

Ditto - try the Superdrug hot cloth cleanser first before Liz Earle as it is cheaper and I also prefer it to Liz Earle which I used for a few years..

But currently Im using the Aldi Lacura range - day and night creams, eye cream and serum and find these to be better than any other regime Ive tried thus far..

These 4 altogether come in around £10ish I think so worth a try

FYI I had oily skin with dry flaky bits (sounds lovely doesnt it!) but currently my skin is pretty well moisturised and plumpy on these creams.

Agree with other poster that you can buy samples of Liz earle on eBay if you want to try it

My two top buys are YSL Touche Eclat and Benefit the Porefessional. They were both slightly reduced, like £20 instead of £25 and others had recommended them. Both great buys.
  • Cats2012 you sound just like me. my skin is awful with acne and blemishes, i have tried everything under the sun from not using any products at all on my face, seeing a skin docotor, going to the make up counters, different medications, changing my pillow sheets everyday, trying to increase my water intake, eating more blueberrys, using sudocream.
None of my friends have acne neither does my younger brother who is 15 and im 22. im currently using my side fringe to hide my acne on my forehead lol
  • Another vote for Liz Earle. I also have very pale senitive skin- dry i places, greasy in others. It was recommended by the make up rtist I used for my wedding. They do try me kits which last around 3 weeks so you don't have to fork out a lot to start. Total convert- this is the best my skin has ever looked

Have you tried having a facial somewhere? You could then see how your face reacts to the products that they use. I find that not only a good skincare range but always a good skincare routine works well and you can't have one without the other. A good cleanser, toner, moisturiser during the day and in the evening a nice oil instead of the moisturiser. Twice weekly exfoliate and then a face mask on. Use this routine for 28 days and see what a difference it will make.
