Christmas Potatoes

I'm just wondering if its just my area or if theres a general shortage this year of seed potatoes.
I want to grow some Charlottes for Christmas in 2 containers, I can't find a supplier for 8-10 tubers.
My local nurseries have either had no stock in, stock went within the first day as had very little or stock was rejected at delivery for being rotten - cause being blamed on weather conditions.
Closest I've found is 10 Nicola potato seeds for £5 which I think is a bit pricey.

Going to see a relative in Cwmbran, Wales tomorrow so might take a detour to a garden centre on the way.

Those won't break dormancy til after the next winter solstice - the ones in the shops/for sale now will have been held back from earlier in the year. So no good for Christmas potatoes. Which are only going to grow if they are under cover. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
I picked up 3 Red Duke of York & 2 Charlotte seed potatoes yesterday at a local garden centre for 25p each....they had loads, and several other varieties too. These will be just enough for me & DH for Christmas & New Year
