Try the Thackray Medical Museum next to St James Hospital. There are a few museums (Leeds Museum just past the Town Hall). And Phantom is on at the Grand Theatre...If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0

Theres a large Morrisons in Kirkstal, you can do plenty of shopping there. A stones throw away is Kirkstal Abbey which is worth a trudge round as its free and has quite nice grounds.
Tropical World at Rounday Park is also quite good, they have a lot of butterflies and last year they had baby meercats. Its only a few quid and its nice with plenty of species to see.0 -
It's Leeds fest this weekend so I don't think anything else much is going on.
If your wanting to stay in the city it is great for shopping, eating and nightlife but aside from Royal Armeries there is nowhere else I can think of that might be a good place for children in the centre of Leeds. If you don't mind travelling out of the city I'd definately recommend Tropical World at Roundhay (it's also dirt cheap!) - the park is just round the corner too.
The Light at the top of Leeds has a good Vue cinema and Anthony's at the Corn Exchange is a lovely place to visit for something to eat and some nice cupcakes.0
