Equifax Warning!

Just to alert you that I cancelled my free Equifax trial last year 2011. However, recently I noticed a monthly payment of £2.99 (card payment) being made to Equifax for the last 5 months. It appears that whilst I cancelled the free trial unbeknown to me Equifax say I have agreed to subscribe to their alerts. I have spoken to Equifax (01274514700) letting them know that no such agreement was made and for them to provide evidence as such, to refund the payments and also to cancel this "subscription".

My bank has also been alerted to stop any future payments.

So please be aware of this and if you do cancel the free trail please also ensure that you are not subscribed to anything else.

This is a usual catch situation. ... Vodafone, Virgin, others, etc. like such catches very much! There are countless other companies, too.
Their is only one remedy: evidence. And the evidence in a verbal agreement is ONLY a recording.
Make a habit of recording EVERY conversation of yours with EVERY business representative ever. For quality of your life purposes ! :)

About a tenth of your collection will be very useful to you, indeed.
This is a life saving tactic that will allow you to sleep at night, knowing that, whoever deceived you, will be proven to have deceived you.
