Does it have a clutch pedal?

If yes, you cannot drive it on an automatic-only licence. If no, then you can.

If it is new and under warranty, you don't need to worry about the cost of it when/if it breaks.

However, I would strongly recommend that you actually test drive the car before you buy it. Don't be fobbed off with a manual, insist on a test drive in the auto version. None of the DSG equipped cars that I have driven are, in my opinion, good but some are better than others. Some, like the Vauxhall Corsa Easytronic are downright awful. Probably the worst auto car I have ever driven. There is one on my drive now. :(

Some people say that they sense a dangerous hesitation in the transmission when pulling out of side roads or onto roundabouts with DSG boxes. They are fiendishly complicated and will be expensive to fix post warranty.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
