PPI Claiming, Please help..

Hi, I'm a bit confused at where to start to try and look at claiming for mis-sold ppi we may have been sold in the past. We lived in Jersey(don't know if that affects the claim?) from 2001-2007 and during that time we had a car on finance, a bank loan and at least one credit card. We have no records of the car finance company but i think the loan and credit card was through the halifax. I'm toying with using a company to claim back but after reading some of the moneysaving expert website i'm put off. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!:)

I'm not sure how your residence in Jersey affects you (if at all) so can't answer that.
The best place to start is to go through the checklist elsewhere on the site and decide if you feel the PPI on your various credits was mis-sold or not relevant to your circumstances at the time.
This is particularly likely if you were maybe self employed but had job-loss cover on your PPI etc.

That you were living in Jersey does not affect whether you can use the UK Financial Ombudsman Service but they will only consider complaints about firms based in the UK.
